Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Sr. Officer, U.S. Philanthropy based in the San Francisco area.

The role focuses on cultivating deep donor relationships, expanding the donor base, and coordinating high-level donor experiences to advance IJM’s mission. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of fundraising or equivalent sales experience, with a proven track record of securing seven‑figure gifts and strong public speaking abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years fundraising experience or equivalent sales experience.
• Proven track record of securing $1M+ annually from major donors and foundations.
• Experience managing donor portfolios and moves management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to broaden and deepen major donor support in the U.S.
• Manage a portfolio of ~150 major donors and foundations; solicit and steward gifts.
• Identify new donors and build strategic relationships; collaborate on regional events.
• Coordinate with IJM leaders to design engagement opportunities and donor experiences.
• Plan and host regional donor events; partner with Mobilization teams for donor leads.
• Ensure timely donor communications, reporting, and data management in Salesforce.
• Coordinate meetings with the CEO’s office and field leaders to maximize engagement.
