Job summary

CF Industries seeks a senior Turnaround Planner to lead unit turnarounds across our chemical plants. You will direct CF TA Planners and coordinate contract personnel, aligning operations, engineering, safety and environmental teams to execute scope on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and productivity with budgets exceeding $30M per turnaround. Strong communication, cost control and process improvement are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering or verified turnaround experience.
• 10+ years of chemical/petrochemical plant experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven management, leadership and technical abilities.
• Possess a valid TWIC credential.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing at random or for cause.
• Willing to comply with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct turnaround planning and coordinate TA contract personnel.
• Lead unit turnaround execution with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Environmental, Safety).
• Develop cost estimates and manage budgets exceeding $30M per turnaround.
• Forecast budgets and turnaround duration for upcoming years.
• Develop turnaround execution and pre-turnaround schedules.
• Develop scopes: maintenance, reliability, and mechanical integrity inspections.
• Develop resources: craft, equipment, tooling, and specialist contractors.
• Create BOMs, budgets and schedule duration for turnarounds.
• Monitor pre, active and post-turnaround execution; adjust resources as needed.
• Post-turnaround review to refine the Turnaround Model and costs.
• Promote safety, quality and productivity across the turnaround team.
• Ensure talent development and readiness for promotion opportunities.
