Radiant, based in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Build Engineer to lead assembly, integration, and build execution for high-performance turbomachinery in our portable nuclear microreactor program. You will own prototype and first-article builds and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure robust, test-ready hardware.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical assembly, hardware integration, or build engineering with complex systems.
• Hands-on experience assembling, integrating, and troubleshooting precision hardware.
• Strong GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, fits, torque, and alignment knowledge.
• Proficiency in reading complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.

Aufgaben

• Lead hands-on turbomachinery assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of components (compressors, turbines, rotors, motors, bearings, seals).
• Own precision assembly operations including rotor stacking, bearing install, balancing, alignment, and fit-up.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure proper assembly and functionality.
• Develop assembly processes, tooling, and torque specs; create work instructions.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and ensure build quality and repeatability.
