Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead advancements in high- and low-pressure turbine design for aircraft and industrial gas turbines. You will develop processes addressing organizational needs, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to long-term strategic planning across the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board.

Qualifications

• For US Candidates only: Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics and 15+ years of experience.
• OR Master's Degree with emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics and 14+ years of experience.
• OR PhD with emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics and 12+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead advancements in turbine aerodynamic design and analysis across product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking and risk mitigation while engaging stakeholders.
• Mentor others in design execution quality and apply robust product/process improvement tools.
• Identify opportunities for improved designs, methods, processes, and tools across domains and sites.
• Develop and maintain engineering/manufacturing practices manuals.
• Influence design boards and organizational leaders with robust strategies.
• Lead program issue resolution to meet customer/regulatory expectations.
• Optimize designs and processes to maximize business value.
• Coach and train early-career personnel within the domain.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics emphasis, 15 years of relevant technical experience

Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics emphasis, 14 years of relevant technical experience

PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with turbomachinery aerodynamics emphasis, 12 years of relevant technical experience
