Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead turbine aerodynamic design advancements for aircraft and industrial gas turbine products. The role involves strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring within the organization.

Candidates should possess extensive turbomachinery aerodynamics experience and the ability to influence design boards, with a preference for global, multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

• US candidates: BS + 15 years in turbomachinery aerodynamics.
• MS with 14 years experience.
• PhD with 12 years experience.
• European candidates: BS with turbomachinery focus and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Recognized SME in Turbine Aerodynamic Design across design, manufacturing, testing, and field operations.
• Promote systems thinking, risk mitigation, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Mentor in DEQ processes (DCRs, DRs, producibility reviews) and apply product/process improvement tools.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive design, industrialization, and production enhancements including AI.
