Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Tunnel Manager / Regional Tunnel Practice Leader to lead complex tunneling projects across multiple U.S. offices with a hybrid work model. The role emphasizes technical leadership, client engagement, and growth of a global tunneling practice.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of tunneling experience, PE license, and proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams while delivering safe, on-time, within-budget projects. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 10+ years of tunneling experience, including 2 years in leadership.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Master's degree in engineering preferred.
• 15+ years in large-scale tunneling/underground projects preferred.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams and managing client relations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Geotechnical or Structural engineering license considered.
• Experience with design-build or alternative delivery methods.
• Experience with international tunneling standards.
• Active involvement in professional organizations; papers published.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary tunneling teams from concept to completion.
• Oversee project delivery: quality, safety, budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with other AECOM units for integrated solutions.
• Mentor and develop tunneling staff; participate in recruitment.
• Represent AECOM at conferences and technical forums.
• Develop and present technical papers; stay current on tunneling methods.
• Support cross-regional and international project teams.
