Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 12 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 11 years; or in lieu of degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead business development strategies, with a focus on tunnels and underground infrastructure.
• Strong client engagement, team leadership, and pursuit management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BD strategies aligned with the National Tunnel Practice’s priorities.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with infrastructure owners, agencies, utilities, and contractors.
• Monitor capital plans and procurement schedules to build a qualified opportunity pipeline.
• Lead capture planning and proposal development for priority opportunities.
• Translate tunneling expertise into client-focused solutions and advise on feasibility, delivery approaches, and lifecycle value.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships to strengthen qualifications and capabilities.
• Coordinate cross-office activities to expand opportunities from planning through construction support.
• Represent HNTB at industry events to enhance visibility and thought leadership.
