Job summary

Aldea Design Services, LLC, an LJB Engineering Company, is seeking a Senior Tunnel Engineer to support rapid growth in tunnel and trenchless design and construction management. A minimum of 15 years of underground project experience is required, including design and construction oversight.

The role demands leadership in project management, client development, and technical delivery, with expertise in geotechnical aspects and coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in tunnel, trenchless, or underground projects.
• Experience in proposal writing and business development.
• Excellent problem solving, decision making and teamwork skills.
• Extensive knowledge of tunnel and trenchless construction methods.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with colleagues, contractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: proposals, cost estimates and schedules for tunnel and rehabilitation projects.
• Lead teams of designers and construction supervision staff.
• Produce technical deliverables per client specifications.
• Build a network of clients within the tunnel industry for collaboration and bids.
• Geotechnical engineering related to tunnel and trenchless design and construction.
• Prepare Geotechnical Reports and Baseline Reports.
