LJB Engineering Company is seeking an Entry Level Tunnel Engineer to join our Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience in geotechnical, underground, tunnel, or trenchless construction, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Structural or related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical deliverables per client specs with guidance.
• Prepare construction plans, specs, calculations and design reports with guidance.
• Communicate technical and non-technical information in meetings with owners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Produce tunnel, geotechnical and structural calculations (incl. numerical analysis) for trenchless design.
• Assist with geotechnical data reports (GDRs) and GBRs and with design parameters.
• Observe field construction as needed and support excavation and lining designs.
