Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience on tunnels and underground structures.
• Knowledge of DBB, Design-Build or CMAR delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design progress from concept to delivery on multiple tunnel projects.
• Ensure compliance with Amtrak standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external agencies.
• Review documents, schedules, and cost estimates; support closeout.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff where applicable.
• Develop design standards in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Prioritize safety, sustainability, resiliency, and customer experience.
• Engage in stakeholder communications and consensus-building.
