Job summary

Armand Corporation seeks an experienced Construction Manager to provide field leadership for the Hudson Tunnel Project and Amtrak collaborations. You will oversee field execution, coordinate activities, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multi-stakeholder teams.

The ideal candidate brings substantial heavy civil/rail experience, strong leadership, and proven contractor-management skills. Expect field work along the Hudson corridor with NY/NJ offices and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
10+ years of construction management on large infrastructure or rail projects, with 5+ years in tunneling/underground works.
Knowledge of NEPA, FTA, FRA, OSHA, and Buy America requirements.
Experience implementing CM plans, SSMPs, and QMPs in multi-contract environments.
Strong leadership and field management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure contractor compliance with plans and documents.
Coordinate updates to drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and NCRs.
Enforce site safety and security; lead incident response and trainings.
Oversee QA/QC audits, testing logs, and material testing coordination.
Support environmental controls and CECP compliance.
Manage testing, commissioning, and rail activation planning with Amtrak and partners.
Interface with Engineer of Record; attend coordination meetings and report risks.
Lead BIM model maintenance and clash detection; ensure model-to-field transfer.
Prepare daily logs, weekly updates, and monthly progress summaries.
