Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an experienced engineer to design, evaluate, plan, test and operate electrical and computer systems for government and commercial uses. You will inspect sites for regulatory compliance, conduct tests and document results, and develop R&D plans.

The role involves travel, leadership of technical tasks, and staying current with evolving technologies while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the TSCM Fundamentals Course at the Interagency Training Center (ITC ONLY).
• Must be able to carry and lift heavy pieces of equipment up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
• Experience conducting site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with ICS 705, NSSAM 1-13, and other applicable regulations.
• TS/SCI w/poly.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, plan, test and operate electrical, electromechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems.
• Inspect customer sites to ensure compliance with customer identified regulations.
• Perform tests, analyze results and document findings.
• Develop research and development plans.
• Write and update technical documentation.
• Adjust methods or equipment as needed and participate in special projects.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and guide less-experienced professionals as needed.
• Possibly serve as a technical team or task leader.
