Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a senior countermeasures engineer to design, evaluate, and test electrical and computer systems for government and military applications.

You will inspect sites, develop R&D plans, and document results while mentoring teammates and leading tasks when needed. The role requires TS/SCI with poly, 25–50% travel, and a strong background in countermeasures engineering with 10+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must complete the TSCM Fundamentals Course at the Interagency Training Center (ITC).
• Must be able to carry and lift heavy pieces of equipment up to 75 pounds during travel and site evaluations.
• Ability to travel 25–50% of the time and conduct site surveys to ensure regulatory compliance.
• TS/SCI w/polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, plan, test and operate electrical, electromechanical and/or computer components for various uses.
• Inspect customer sites to ensure compliance with regulations and document results.
• Develop R&D plans, write and review technical documentation, and lead testing as needed.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and possibly serve as a technical team or task leader.
• Prepare assessments of threats and trends from intelligence data.
