Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator in San Antonio, TX to maintain and secure desktop and server systems.

The role involves cross-platform administration (Windows and Linux), incident response, patching, and storage management in a mission-critical environment. You will work with on-site and remote users, perform Tier 1–3 support, implement software deployments, and ensure STIG alignment while collaborating with ISSO and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Must have Security+ certification or DoW 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
• TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
• Must be able to obtain System Administrator Accounts and access as required by customer within 90 days of hire.
• RHEL, Windows, and/or Storage administration experience.
• Experience working with trouble ticket reporting and tracking systems such as Service+.
• Ability to respond to after hour calls and provide on-call support.
• Ability to travel 0-20% to local area sites and other locations with similar architecture.

Responsibilities

• Systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and management of the system infrastructure.
• Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Provide Tier 1/2/3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Install/load OS and applications using PowerShell, PDQ, or MECM deployment tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software problems and maintain system reliability and performance.
• Maintain security patches and STIG compliance and document changes.
