Applied Network Solutions, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Network Engineer (Implementation Engineer) to design, deploy, and secure complex enterprise networks.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, plus hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade hardware, OSPF/BGP routing, and STIG-compliant designs. You will document designs, coordinate maintenance windows, and supervise junior staff while delivering scalable solutions for national security environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Experience totaling 10 years across work history and education.
• Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 requirements.
• Hands-on network engineering with Tier III or higher operations.
• Experience configuring Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper hardware.
• Hands-on OSPF and BGP in production networks.
• VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channel trunking experience.
• Ability to document designs with diagrams, BOMs, and configs.
• Able to schedule maintenance windows with minimal data impact.
• Provides technical guidance to Operations teams.
• Develops secure designs aligning with DISA STIGs and ATO.
• Supervises other network support specialists.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, design, develop, test, and secure network solutions.
• Implement and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with minimal disruption.
• Provide fault isolation and scalable resolutions.
• Develop secure network designs and obtain ATO for new devices.
