Job summary

Dow is seeking a TS&D Leader/Aircraft Deicing Fluids (ADF) in Midland, MI, to lead the laboratory operations team and drive formulation development, product qualification, and customer-focused innovation. You will supervise technicians (9 Dow + 3 contractors) and align resources to value-generating R&D projects.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering and R&D, develop training programs, and engage with customers to define needs. Occasional travel and SAE committee participation are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or science-related discipline is required OR 12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• Travel up to 20% may be required.
• U.S. work eligibility; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Midland TS&D laboratory technician teams and ensure safe, timely sample analysis and testing.
• Manage Aircraft Deicing Fluids (ADF) and other DIS labs; support product development and customer-driven projects.
• Partner with commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, QA, and R&D to deliver technical solutions.
• Develop training materials and provide technical training for customers, distributors, and internal staff.
• Act as SME for ADF and coordinate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Tech Center.
• Spearhead IP development and ensure documentation of project results.
