Job summary

Adient plc seeks a Senior Trim Engineering Manager to lead trim design and processes for a seating business unit in the United States. You will guide engineers and technicians, resolve customer trim issues, and ensure time, cost, and performance objectives are met.

You will drive best practices, manage budgets, and support global programs while partnering with core teams to deliver flawless seat appearance and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering with 10–15 years in trim product development.
• 5 years in a supervisory position in trim product development.
• Experience with DFMEA and tool release processes.
• Knowledge of trim cover construction and sewing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for trim design and development across programs.
• Lead trim design reviews, issue resolution, and CAPA planning.
• Ensure DFMEAs are completed and design changes are approved in tooling releases.
• Develop cost, schedule and quality targets; monitor progress with core team.
• Support global programs and cross-functional teams; coach engineers.
