Job summary

The Nooksack Indian Tribe is seeking a Veterans Program Manager to lead the Veterans Program under the Health Department, ensuring high-quality, culturally sensitive services for tribal veterans and dependents. Qualifications

• Honorably discharged veteran or retired from U.S. armed forces.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, or related field, or AA with 5 years related experience or 10 years related experience.
• Experience with diverse social behavior, tribal environment experience preferred.
• Must pass background check and alcohol/drug test.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Veterans Program strategic plan aligned with Health Department goals.
• Lead meetings with Health Department leadership and Tribal Council as requested.
• Create queries, reports, surveys and program documents.
• Coordinate with Tribal Council, veterans of other tribes, governmental agencies and community.
• Direct activities of the Veterans Program, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Develop policies and contractual agreements within assigned areas.
