Job summary

Training,-Rehabilitation- at Fort Hood, Texas seeks an experienced Tree Trimmer Technician to maintain trees and shrubs, ensuring access for utilities and roads. You will lead a crew, coordinate work plans, and ensure safety and quality across multiple sites.

You will supervise pruning and removals, train crew members, and operate an aerial lift or bucket truck as required. Flexibility to work weekends/evenings/holidays is necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have more than 5 years or more of related supervisory experiences.
• Ability to work around hazardous equipment and maintain attention for extended periods.
• Experience with a tree crew in a safe and productive manner.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Must wear required PPE for tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR checks.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of trees and shrubs per contract and manage priorities.
• Assist with project work plans and manage small-scale projects within scope and budget.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Conduct urban tree asset mapping, reporting, and history tracking.
• Supervise tree crew during pruning/removals per ANSI standards.
• Train crew members for designated assignments and safety.
• Operate an aerial lift/bucket truck when needed.
• Coordinate with customers and safety departments to block streets or driveways.
