Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead field supervision across multiple Foremen and labor crews. You will organize, schedule, control costs, ensure drawings and specifications are followed, and coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience with 5+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership role.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; able to learn policies and software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents
• Review and approve the balance of Foremen, journeymen and laborers’ composite labor rates
• Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meetings for communication)
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site
• Initiate and attend meetings with client for problem resolution and planning
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Review, approve and negotiate change orders
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diary for record keeping purposes
• Ensure evaluations for direct reports are completed timely
• Recommend organizational, policy, or staff changes
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen
