Job summary

Ameritech Contracting is seeking an experienced on-site supervisor to lead construction activities, ensuring safety, monitoring schedule and budget, and coordinating with subcontractors. The role requires strong leadership, risk assessment, and effective communication on complex projects.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in construction, the ability to read drawings and specifications, OSHA certification, and the willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years continuous experience in construction industry or equivalent
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings/specs, and schedules
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and OSHA certification
• Willingness to travel and obtain security clearance if required
• Experience with Procore is preferred

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project construction documents including drawings, specs, amendments, and plans.
• Coordinate and inspect sub-contractor work to ensure contract compliance.
• Identify issues, RFIs, and field changes with practical solutions.
• Oversee equipment utilization, material deliveries, and manpower allocation.
• Support project closeout, punch list management, and turnover procedures.
• Document daily on-site activities with narrative and photos.
• Lead toolbox talks to keep project on schedule and clarify plans.
• Identify and communicate safety concerns and enforce prevention plans.
• Assist with schedule development, progress reports, and look-ahead planning.
