Job summary

Ameritech Contracting seeks an on-site Construction Superintendent to lead daily activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on complex projects. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication to drive project success.

Travel willingness and ability to obtain required USACE certifications are essential. A valid driver's license and OSHA certification are required for field eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in construction or equivalent combo of education, training, experience.
• Ability to read, interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must have OSHA certification and a valid driver's license.
• Experience with Procore preferred; willingness to obtain USACE certs.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents including drawings, specs, amendments, and plans.
• Coordinate and inspect subcontractor work for compliance with docs and safety requirements.
• Identify issues, RFI needs, and field changes with practical solutions.
• Oversee equipment, materials delivery, and manpower allocation.
• Document daily on-site activities with narrative and photos.
• Lead regular tool talk meetings to align schedule and plans.
• Maintain site safety concerns and enforce accident prevention plans.
• Assist with schedule updates, progress reports, and look-ahead planning.
• Occasionally take on tasks outside normal scope.
