Job summary

University Health seeks a Senior Trauma Outcomes Coordinator with a background in trauma nursing and performance improvement to promote optimal care across the trauma continuum. You will analyze data, create reports, and drive PI initiatives in collaboration with Trauma Services faculty and staff.

The role emphasizes teaching, training, and leadership in process improvement, with responsibility for records, trauma database security, and adherence to national benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• RN license in Texas or reciprocity from another state.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• TNCC Provider.
• PALS or ENPC for pediatric cases.
• TOPIC training.
• TCAR or PCAR training.
• Professional nursing certification (CEN, CCRN, TCRN) within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of trauma PI activities and secure Trauma Outcomes database.
• Obtain and analyze information to develop or modify PI initiatives.
• Create customized reports based on data analyses and disseminate findings.
• Use state and national benchmarks to determine trauma care standards.
• Serve as facilitator/leader of process improvement efforts.
• Provide training and supervision for new Trauma Outcomes Coordinators.
