Job summary

Ruby's Place dba Restorative Pathways (RP) in Oakland, CA seeks a Senior Manager of Trauma-Informed Crisis Response to lead on-site crisis operations across residential and service programs. The role ensures stabilization, staff support, and readiness in high-impact events.

The position is full-time, in-person with hybrid options and requires on-call availability, leadership, and collaboration with emergency partners. Master’s degree preferred; CA driver license and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health, criminal justice, emergency management, or related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in residential programs, crisis response, emergency services, behavioral health, or high-acuity trauma-informed settings.
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation expertise.
• Certifications preferred (CIT, First Aid/CPR, Mental Health First Aid, emergency/disaster response).
• Experience with multi-site operations, staff training coordination, disaster response, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-call responder for critical incidents (medical emergencies, overdoses, suicidality, violent incidents, psychiatric crises, deaths, natural disasters).
• Coordinate with law enforcement, EMS, hospitals, fire departments, and other emergency partners.
• Ensure adherence to emergency protocols and serve as on-site wellness liaison.
• Support staff with documentation, emotional processing, and next steps.
• Coordinate family communication and site stabilization.
• Complete incident reports and participate in internal reviews.
• Develop and standardize emergency protocols across sites.
• Conduct drills (fire, evacuation, disaster, lockdown).
• Visit sites monthly to assess risks and implement prevention strategies.
• Support post-crisis wellness continuity and trauma-informed follow-up.
• Ensure alignment with licensing, regulatory, and risk management standards.
• Update crisis protocols and improve safety systems.
• Maintain required documentation and administrative duties.
