Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks a Technical Transportation Planner to support regional TSMO/ITS planning for the Albuquerque area. The role coordinates MPO travel demand modeling, long-range roadway updates, freight planning, and asset management while overseeing professional services and technical environments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least four years of relevant planning experience, with strong GIS expertise (ArcGIS, QGIS)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban or Regional Planning, or equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in planning, engineering, transportation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional TSMO and ITS planning with agencies and partners.
• Lead travel forecasting and applications of the regional travel demand model.
• Prepare technical analyses, reports, maps, presentations, and other materials for committees and stakeholders.
