VHB's Virginia offices are seeking a Senior Transportation Roadway Engineer to join our team. You will lead design and production for complex projects, develop traffic management plans, and mentor junior staff across multiple office locations in a hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in transportation roadway engineering and a PE license, with proficiency in MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and AutoCAD Civil 3D Corridor.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS a plus.
• 8+ years of professional transportation roadway engineering experience required.
• PE certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee design and production of transportation projects including highway widenings/reconstruction.
• Develop traffic management plans and construction documentation with budget and schedule focus.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with subconsultants and multi-discipline teams.
• Manage client meetings to validate scope of work and support bids/construction phase services.
