Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a Senior Business Insurance Sr. Risk Control Consultant to lead loss prevention for a diverse transportation client base.

You will assess driver safety, fleet controls, regulatory compliance, and develop practical risk improvement plans across Commercial Auto, GL, WC, and Cargo. Collaborating with clients and carriers, you will deliver training, prepare formal risk assessment reports, and create customized service plans aligned with client goals.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Risk Management, Insurance or safety required.
• 7+ years of transportation management or DOT/FMCSA compliance experience preferred.
• Experience delivering loss prevention and risk control for commercial fleets.
• Strong communication and training facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations (49 CFR Parts 300–399).

Responsibilities

• Provide loss prevention and risk control for commercial transportation clients.
• Build risk management relationships with fleets of all sizes.
• Evaluate driver safety exposures and regulatory posture.
• Promote transportation risk control in new business opportunities.
• Assess exposures across Commercial Auto, GL, WC, Cargo.
• Develop risk assessment reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison between client and insurers for loss control.
• Monitor loss runs and claims data to identify trends.
• Deliver loss control resources tailored to fleet type.
• Create proactive, customized service plans with clients.
• Design and deliver driver safety and DOT compliance training.
• Conduct fleet and facility safety assessments against DOT/OSHA standards.
