Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Business Insurance Sr. Risk Control Consultant to serve transportation clients with loss prevention and risk management expertise. You will assess exposures, develop actionable risk improvement plans, and support client relationships.

This role emphasizes DOT/FMCSA compliance, driver safety training, and collaboration with insurance carriers to reduce losses. Strong presentation skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Risk Management, Insurance, or a safety-related discipline is required.
• 7+ years of transportation management, fleet risk management, or DOT/FMCSA compliance experience strongly desired.
• Must be customer service focused with a proven track record of delivering solutions for commercial transportation loss exposures.
• In-depth knowledge of FMCSA regulations (49 CFR Parts 300-399) including HOS, DQ files, Drug & Alcohol testing, cargo securement and ELD.
• Excellent command of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with strong presentation and training facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide loss prevention and risk control services to transportation clients across industries.
• Establish trusted risk management relationships with clients operating fleets of all sizes.
• Evaluate driver safety exposures, fleet controls, and regulatory compliance posture; deliver recommendations.
• Promote transportation risk control capabilities in new business development opportunities.
• Assess Commercial Auto/Fleet, General Liability, Workers' Comp, Cargo exposures; provide feedback on controls.
• Develop risk assessment reports for clients and internal stakeholders; communicate findings clearly.
• Serve as liaison between client and insurance carriers to drive accountability.
• Monitor loss runs and claims data; identify trends and develop strategies to reduce losses.
• Provide clients with resources and solutions tailored to fleet type and operations.
• Develop proactive service plans with each client aligned to goals and risk tolerance.
• Design and deliver driver safety and DOT compliance training using PowerPoint and multimedia tools.
• Conduct fleet and facility safety assessments per DOT/FMCSA/OSHA standards.
