Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced seller-doer, business development‑oriented Project Manager to join our Transportation group in South Carolina. The role can be based in any SC office, with flexible and hybrid work options.

You will lead transportation design projects, manage client relationships, and pursue new opportunities with SCDOT and municipal clients. You will coordinate meetings, develop proposals, manage budgets and schedules, ensure quality standards, and engage with professional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; travel may be required.
10+ years of related experience with transportation projects.
Certification such as PMP, CCM or DBIA within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Managing SC Transportation projects including design, scope and quality.
Facilitating meetings and coordinating with major clients.
Building relationships with SCDOT, municipalities and contractors for design-build in SC.
Managing strategic pursuits including proposals and client meetings.
Preparing design and construction contract specifications for transportation projects.
Monitoring budgets and schedules and ensuring adherence to tasks.
