Job summary

CDM Smith in South Carolina is hiring an experienced seller-doer, business development‑oriented Project Manager to join our Transportation group. The role can be based in any SC office and supports expansion with SCDOT and municipal clients.

Responsibilities include managing projects, meetings, client relations, pursuing proposals, and ensuring design and construction contracts meet budget and schedule. Flexible and hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; PMI/PM certs preferred.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage SC Transportation Project Manager duties on diverse design projects.
• Coordinate meetings and client communications with major clients.
• Build and manage relationships with SCDOT and municipal leaders for design-build.
• Assist with strategic pursuits including proposal development and client meetings.
• Prepare and manage design and construction contract specifications.
• Oversee budget, scope, and schedule development and adherence.
• Implement quality procedures at project and task levels.
• Engage with professional societies relevant to clients.
