Job summary

BETA Group, Inc. in Rhode Island seeks an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation projects from planning through construction.

You will manage scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations while coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Based in Lincoln, RI with hybrid option, you will mentor engineers, liaise with RIDOT and municipal clients, and help grow BETA's presence across Rhode Island and New England.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8–15+ years of related highway design and roadway construction experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS/Pro; MS Office.
• Experience with RIDOT, MassDOT, ConnDOT design standards and MUTCD.
• Must be able to perform field work and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation projects from planning through final design, bidding, and construction.
• Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams of engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership for roadway design, drainage, and traffic details.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals across agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development; engage with clients.
