Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in TX.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation design and project management.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and other Westwood offices across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and delivery of multidiscipline projects in a profitable manner.
• Supervise the work of project managers and engineers.
• Develop project work plans and budgets and allocate resources.
• Review metrics including utilization, backlog, work in process and accounts receivable.
• Prepare schedules for multiple concurrent projects and complex long-term programs.
• Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Complete monthly project accounting and invoicing.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures.
• Participate in contract bidding, review submittals and RFIs.
• Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues.
• Represent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agencies.
• Write proposals, prepare qualification packages and lead interviews.
• Recruit, grow, mentor and train staff.
• Build relationships with clients and strategic partners; lead business development.

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an ambitious and talented professional to join our transportation service team in as a Senior Project Manager. This is an opportunity to join Westwood's highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of diverse roadway design and project management experience supporting public sector infrastructure transportation design projects. This position is responsible for complex engineering design tasks as well as marketing, business development, client contact and sustained growth of a transportation design team.

Requirements

• Manage the design and delivery of multidiscipline projects in a profitable manner
• Supervise the work of project managers and engineers
• Develop project work plans and budget projections and effectively deploy resources
• Review, interpret and act on business metrics, including utilization, backlog, work in process and account receivables
• Prepare, maintain and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projects and complex long term projects
• Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
• Complete monthly project accounting and invoicing
• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures
• Participate in contract bidding, provide limited observation during construction, review submittals and RFIs
• Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues
