Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to play a key role in planning and delivering transportation projects. Collaborate with engineers and project managers, preparing roadway design plans using OpenRoads Designer. Fully remote candidates will be considered, with a preference for a hybrid role based in Fairfax, VA.

Essential functions include leading design projects and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a PE license.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in VA or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with multiple state DOTs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on alternative delivery transportation projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop design solutions.
• Serve as technical liaison between teams, clients, and contractors.
