GFT in Orlando, FL seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead transportation design and delivery on FDOT projects. The role involves directing roadway design, coordinating with clients and regulators, and ensuring high QA/QC across teams.

You will mentor staff, manage submittals, and contribute to business development while operating in a semi-hybrid model in Orlando and surrounding Florida offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Florida PE license are required.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive roadway/transportation design experience.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related tools.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and client coordination abilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on FDOT or state DOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for transportation infrastructure including highways and interchanges.
• Prepare and review plans, specs, estimates, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and internal teams via design reviews.
• Mentor staff and enforce QA/QC across design deliverables.
• Support business development and client relationships for transportation services.
