Job summary

HNTB is seeking an engineer in Harrisburg, PA, to lead design calculations, reports, and technical plans for diverse infrastructure projects. You will consult with the project manager, apply engineering techniques, and mentor junior staff to support on-time, quality project delivery.

Responsibilities include planning work distribution, assisting with proposals, and coordinating across disciplines with clients and teaming partners while ensuring scope and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to plan and deliver engineering design work within schedule and budget.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
• Assist with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work and mentor staff.
• Coordinate technical aspects of projects with clients and partners.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
