Job summary

CDR Maguire is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee multiple transportation projects, plan, organize, lead, implement, and control programs in support of the Regional Program Management Director and fellow project managers in the division.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, 10+ years in design or design management, and strong knowledge of PennDOT/FHWA policies. The incumbent will mentor staff and drive quality, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering design or design-management experience.
• Knowledge of PennDOT Design Manuals and FHWA/DOT policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple concurrent projects for an agency program, including budgets, funding oversight, project management and administration, and reimbursement processes.
• Monitor project performance, including quality, schedule and budgets; develop action plans to address hurdles.
• Coordinate and chair meetings to review design progress, utility, right of way, PUC, railroad, and related topics.
• Oversee contracts and work with grant agencies at state and federal levels (e.g., PennDOT, FHWA).
• Mentor agency staff and develop close working relationships across the division.
• Stay up-to-date with new technology and construction techniques; support divisions as needed.
