Job summary

CDR Maguire is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex transportation programs in the Northern Kentucky region. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing multiple projects in collaboration with the Regional Program Management Director and other PMs.

The candidate will oversee budgets, schedules, and quality, chair design review meetings, manage contracts with PennDOT/FHWA, and mentor staff while ensuring excellent client service.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, required.
• Registered Professional Engineer, required.
• Certified Project Management Professional preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible engineering design or engineering design management experience.
• Proficiency in PennDOT Design Manuals 1–5 and related manuals.
• Applied knowledge of DOT and FHWA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple concurrent projects including financial management, funding oversight, and administration.
• Monitor project performance; develop action plans to address schedule, quality, and budget issues.
• Coordinate and chair design reviews and related meetings (utilities, right of way, PUC, railroad).
• Manage contracts and grants with state and federal agencies (e.g., PennDOT, FHWA).
• Mentor staff and maintain strong client service throughout the division.
