Job summary

CDR Maguire Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering project leader to manage multiple infrastructure projects in western Pennsylvania. The role emphasizes coordination with PennDOT, FHWA, and Local Public Agencies, overseeing design contracts and progress reviews.

The candidate will supervise staff, participate in meetings with various agencies, and ensure compliance with DOT/FHWA policies. A PE is preferred or on-track, with a strong emphasis on communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
• P.E. preferred or on P.E. track.
• Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible engineering design or engineering design management related experience.
• Familiarity with PennDOT Design Manuals 1 through 5 and PennDOT Publication 740 is a plus.
• Applied knowledge of DOT and FHWA policies and procedures is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple design projects for a Local Public Agency program.
• Manage contracts, funding, design reviews, and coordination with PennDOT and FHWA.
• Coordinate and chair meetings to review design progress and related topics.
• Supervise administrative and support staff.
• Maintain close working relationship with Local Public Agency staff.
• Travel as required by duties; attend training prerequisites.
• Other duties as assigned.
