Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Lead Supplier Management professional for xPL Offsite Transportation on the Haskell, TX project. The role focuses on leading supplier relations, developing logistics strategies, and optimizing third-party logistics partners to meet service, cost, and performance goals.

You will oversee domestic and international transportation, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with onsite teams and division leadership; travel is 100%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience with procurement processes, 3PL implementation, and transportation services.
• Background in supply chain, 3PL, or related industry within construction or similar sectors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact with transportation providers for xPL Offsite Transportation operations for assigned projects.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet project objectives and align with internal stakeholders.
• Manage domestic and international transportation partners and third-party logistics providers for cost-effective operations.
• Maintain relationships with providers to ensure proper handling per contracts and standards.
• Create and review KPIs and reporting metrics to identify opportunities to improve costs and services.
• Provide real-time project reports on performance, status, risks, and issues to management.
• Oversee budgets and adherence to financial targets related to transportation management.
