Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a senior leader to oversee supplier management and transportation strategies for xPL Offsite operations. You will align service, cost, and performance objectives while cultivating relationships with providers and logistics partners.

This role includes coaching teams, managing budgets, and delivering measurable improvements. You will lead cross-functional efforts to optimize routes, negotiate with carriers, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain, transportation, or logistics.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred with progressive responsibility.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, 3PL, transportation networks and services.
• Experience in construction or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide supplier management strategies to derive value across xPL transportation operations.
• Foster strategic relationships with domestic and international transportation partners and 3PLs.
• Train, coach, and mentor xPL Transportation teams to align with project expectations.
• Plan and oversee shipment lifecycle to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Lead budgeting, spend alignment, and profitability analysis for transportation services.
• Collaborate on workforce planning and cross-functional guidance for KPIs.
• Develop metrics and provide guidance to communicate progress to leadership.
• Monitor progress, escalate issues, and review KPIs to drive improvement.
