Job summary

Egis in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead transportation design projects for NCDOT, counties, and municipalities. You will direct design documentation, estimates, schedules, and QA/QC while coordinating with staff, sub-consultants, and reviewers to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of transportation PM experience, a North Carolina PE license, and North Carolina business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of project management experience on transportation projects; municipal projects preferred.
• Professional Engineer license in North Carolina.
• Business development experience in North Carolina.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with the City of Charlotte consultant design processes and NCDOT standards.
• Proficient with OpenRoads Designer and NCDOT Connect.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation design projects for NC DOT, counties, and municipalities.
• Prepare design documentation, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and scope with QA/QC.
• Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, and sub-consultants.
• Lead client development and proposal efforts.
• Manage utilization and development of engineering staff.
