Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation design team in Southern Florida. You will lead highway/roadway design projects, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor a team of transportation professionals in Coral Gables and Ft. Lauderdale offices.

The role emphasizes client engagement with FDOT districts, QA/QC of deliverables, and growth of the roadway design practice in South Florida. Florida PE and MicroStation/GEOPAK skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Civil Engineering degree required.
• 10 years of transportation engineering experience or equivalency.
• 15 years of experience preferred in transportation/highway design.
• Florida PE license required.
• Experience leading design projects and teams.
• FDOT Design/Design Build experience.
• Proven client relationships with FDOT Districts 4 & 6 in South Florida.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK; 3D corridor modeling.
• Seller/doer experience for transportation in South Florida.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for key roadway design project pursuits.
• Managing budgets, schedules, client engagement, managing subcontractors, and ensuring QA/QC of all deliverables.
• Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
• Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts, techniques, and standards.
• Assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel and technical quality.
• General business development and marketing focus, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high-quality performance.
• Mentor and lead a team of Transportation professionals.
