Job summary

Tetra Tech in South Florida is seeking a Transportation Project Manager - Roadway Design, PE to lead FDOT and local agency roadway design projects from notice to proceed through final delivery. The role emphasizes project management, technical oversight, scheduling, budget control, and client coordination with subconsultants.

You will mentor junior engineers, support FDOT district business development, and represent the firm in meetings. A Florida PE and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience managing FDOT or local agency projects.
• Strong knowledge of FDOT standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage FDOT and local agency projects from NTP through final design.
• Serve as Project Manager, Engineer of Record, or technical lead.
• Provide technical direction for roadway design, drainage, lighting, signing and pavement markings.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients and subsconsultants.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Assist with pursuit strategy, proposals, scope estimates, and client presentations.
• Participate in selected FDOT meetings, events, and site reviews.
• Support business development in targeted FDOT districts.
