Apex Companies is seeking a motivated Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead transportation projects for local municipalities and FDOT, including planning, design, and permitting. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination on multidisciplinary programs that improve mobility and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience in civil or transportation engineering.
• P.E. license from Florida is required.
• Experience managing municipal or county transportation projects.
• Knowledge of FDOT standards, Florida Design Manual, MUTCD.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of transportation projects for local/regional government.
• Act as Project Manager, owning scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination.
• Develop PS&E per FDOT and local standards.
• Coordinate with public agencies, utilities, and permitting authorities.
• Oversee traffic analysis, safety studies, and roadway geometry design.
• Mentor junior engineering staff.

Education

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
