Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary transportation projects for municipalities and regional clients in Florida. The role focuses on planning, design, and permitting to improve mobility, safety, and infrastructure within communities.

The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities to coordinate with FDOT and local agencies while mentoring junior staff and managing client expectations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of civil or transportation engineering experience.
• P.E. license in Florida.
• Proven PM experience on municipal or county projects.
• Knowledge of FDOT standards, the Florida Design Manual (FDM), MUTCD.
• Proficiency with design software such as MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and delivery of transportation projects for local and regional government clients.
• Serve as Project Manager for assigned projects - responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination.
• Prepare and oversee development of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) per FDOT/local standards.
• Coordinate with public agencies, utility providers, and permitting authorities.
• Conduct and/or oversee traffic analysis, safety studies, and roadway geometry design.
• Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff.
