Job summary
HNTB is seeking a transportation engineer in Arlington, VA to conduct multimodal planning, safety, and operational studies and coordinate with state, local agencies, developers, and stakeholders.
You will interpret engineering drawings, prepare reports, maps, and exhibits, and present data-driven recommendations while using traffic analysis and planning tools to support project development and decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
- Assist in development of project specifications and deliverables.
- Develop discipline-specific engineering project elements such as reports, designs, and plans.
- Coordinate and support project team productivity and communications.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Conduct quality control reviews of project deliverables.
- Assist with scheduling and workload planning within the discipline.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
