Mead & Hunt is seeking a Transportation Planner to join its Mid-Atlantic Community Planning Department within the Transportation Planning Business Unit. This role leads and supports multidisciplinary transportation planning projects that improve safety, mobility, and quality of life in communities across the Mid-Atlantic.

The successful candidate will combine strong project delivery, policy and technical research, client service, staff leadership, and business development to advance practical

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience
• Twelve (12) years of relevant experience (alternative)
• AICP certification or licensure preferred

Mansioni

• Lead or support transportation plans, studies, programs, and implementation strategies across Vision Zero, Complete Streets, active transportation, Safe Routes to School, and multimodal planning.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and deliverables with clear client and team communication.
• Develop technical memoranda, reports, presentations, graphics, and public-facing materials.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder meetings and public engagement translating input into actionable recommendations.
• Research transportation policies, funding programs, and emerging practices with Mid-Atlantic focus.
• Mentor and coordinate junior staff; assign work and review deliverables.
