Job summary
San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) seeks a Transportation Planner III (Senior Project Planner) to guide the Train Control Upgrade Project prescribing procurement, testing, and deployment of the CBTC system. You will assist in budgeting, grant applications, and coordinating with Hitachi Rail, WSP-PGH Wong JV, and internal staff to meet project goals.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s plus work experience in transportation planning as specified.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with public sector exposure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagements.
Responsibilities
- Plan procurement, deployment, installation and testing of Train Control System.
- Review project schedules, budgeting, and grant applications with stakeholders.
- Develop procurement plans, policies and procedures for the project.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors on design and execution.
- Prepare reports, updates and presentations for boards and agencies.
