Job summary

The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners is seeking an advanced transportation planner to lead long-range and current planning efforts for the Planning and Environmental Resources Department. This is a grant-funded role focused on developing and implementing the Transportation Strategy Master Plan and coordinating with cities on FDOT work plans.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with substantial planning experience and an Alabama?

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree with required years of related work experience.
• Florida Driver's License required; AICP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research and prepares data and analysis for long-range and strategic transportation-related planning projects.
• Provides quarterly reporting of transportation-related activities for FDOT grant reimbursement package.
• Prepares, analyzes, reviews, and provides recommendations on proposed Development Permits for maintenance of level of service standards.
