The County of Riverside Transportation and Land Management Agency (TLMA) Planning Department seeks a Principal Planner to lead the Advanced Planning Team and drive long-range planning initiatives. You will oversee community plans, update policies, and support Housing Element and General Plan updates.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and collaboration with multiple agencies; travel to various locations countywide is anticipated in this leadership position.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field.
• Experience in long range planning.
• Lead or supervise planning staff is preferred.

• Lead and manage the Advanced Planning Team.
• Support development and implementation of the County’s long-range planning initiatives.
• Oversee preparation and maintenance of community plans.
• Assist with ordinance and policy updates as needed.
• Support Housing Element and General Plan updates.
• Perform complex planning assignments and related duties.
• Coordinate staff and review division policies and goals.
• Represent the department before boards and community groups.
